Aimee is a magical girl from a Victorian steampunk period who due to the nature of making a contract is now more demon than human. Characters with the ability to sense souls and similar abilities are free to notice this. She uses glamour and cute/sparkly abilities to conceal her despair and hidden emotions, which she avoids! If she ends up leaning too heavily into them...it wouldn't be pleasant. Because of this, characters are free to notice that there's something that doesn't quite mesh when she uses her abilities, the same sense of discomfort you may get when looking at the calm, still surface of a lake.
